The Martin’s had an old wood deck that had seen better days! Nails were popping up, the wood was splintering and one of the two staircases leading down into the backyard was unsafe. Mr. Martin admits he had not properly maintained the deck and it was time to replace it. Jim Martin’s first thought of hiring a General Contractor to build a replacement deck. They quickly dismissed this idea in favor of a company that would stand behind their product and be there should a problem arise.
The Martins were watching FOX 6 one morning when a Business Break featuring Durante Home Exteriors Marketing Manager Johnathan Honeycutt aired. The Martins were impressed with what they heard and decided to do a little online research. Liking what they saw online they gave Durante Home Exteriors a call and scheduled a free estimate.
Durante sent Designer Jay Campbell to the Martin home to show the couple options for a new deck. He discussed Wood vs. Composite Decks and put to bed the composite myths the Martins had seen while doing research.
The Martins liked the idea of a “maintenance free” deck and decided to go with composite. They chose Fortress Infinity Decking in Kona Sunset with Espresso Roast Fascia and accents. To complete the look the Martins chose Endurance vinyl railing in white with round black balusters.
The Martins were pleased with the construction process. The crew got right to work, always answered questions and were great to have around! Neighbors stopped by regularly to check on the progress. The first neighborhood gathering was held on the deck before it was complete.
The Martins were pleased with the entire Durante process, from the very first phone call to the installation of the new deck!
