The Mims are recent Durante customers who live over in Vestavia Hills. They had a large rickety deck on the back of their home. They called us for a site inspection and to get a quote to replace their old deck.
The old deck had aged to the point where our customers could no longer safely enjoy being outside on it. Located high off the ground, the deck was old and wobbly. Full of splinters. Nail heads were popping up everywhere. Shaky hand rails. It was a real mess.
What We Did
The Mims hired Durante Home Exteriors to remove the old deck, and build a brand new deck with composite deck boards, vinyl handrails, and also install a low-voltage lighting system so they could have nice ambient lighting in the evening times.
Not only is the new deck safe and strong, it’s also virtually maintenance-free. Composite decking is an ideal choice for homeowners looking to eliminate the maintenance headaches associated with a wood deck. Composite decking is a wood alternative, it will not decay or splinter, and bare feet love the way it feels!
